The TTime task timer is a simple task timer that runs under Windows. TTime runs in a small window and stays on top of other programs. It has a clock as well as the timer.

I wrote TTime because the more complicated task timers did more than I wanted. I wanted the timer to just be a timer, and use other programs to keep track of my projects.

TTime can be downloaded for free. It is offered with absolutely no warranty, but I have been using it for months without problems.

Using TTime

  1. Press the “Start/Stop Timer” button Start/Stop button. It will turn to a pause button Start/Stop button on pause and look like it is pressed in.
  2. If you want to take a break, press the “Start/Stop Timer” button again. When the timer button is pressed in, the timer is running. When it is up, the timer is stopped.

  3. Take a break!
  4. Once the task is finished, press the “Clear and save to Clipboard” button Save to Clipboard button. This will zero out the timer, but will also save the date, start time, and total time (in hours) to the clipboard.
  5. Paste the time into a document or spreadsheet. It will look something like this:
    Thu, 15 Dec 2005	20:15	0.25

That’s it!
